Booking Terms & Conditions

These terms explain how Amir Travel & Tours arranges travel for you, how quotes, payments, changes and cancellations work, and what each of us is responsible for.

1. About These Terms

These terms apply to this website, to our chat assistant, and to the travel arrangements Amir Travel & Tours (“we”, “us”), the travel division of Amir Group in Morningside, Durban, makes for you. By making a booking with us or using this website you agree to them.

2. Our Role

We are a travel agency. We arrange flights, accommodation, transfers, visa assistance, tours, group and Umrah travel that are supplied by third parties such as airlines, hotels, transport providers and tour operators (“suppliers”). In most cases we act as your agent in making those arrangements. Each supplier is responsible for the service it provides, and its own terms apply to that service.

3. Tailor-Made Quotes

We do not sell fixed packages. Every trip is tailor-made and priced in a personalised quote prepared from the information you give us. The content of this website and of our chat assistant is general information; it is not a quotation or an offer. Fares, room rates and availability change, and they are not guaranteed until confirmed in writing and paid for as the supplier requires. A quote is valid for the period stated in it.

4. Making a Booking

A booking is confirmed only when we confirm it to you in writing after you have accepted the quote and the payment arrangements in it have been met. Names on tickets and travel documents must match the passports or identity documents of the travellers exactly. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us; corrections after issue may carry supplier charges.

5. Payment

Payment arrangements, including any deposit, are set out in your quote and confirmed with you before anything is booked. Prices are quoted in South African rand unless the quote says otherwise. Please pay only to the bank account or payment link given in a written quote or invoice from our official contact details, and never send card details through the chat or by email.

6. Changes and Cancellations

If you want to change or cancel a booking, tell us as soon as possible in writing. Changes and cancellations are subject to the conditions of the suppliers involved, for example airline fare rules and hotel cancellation schedules, which can make tickets and bookings non-refundable or changeable only for a fee. We explain the conditions that apply in your quote before you confirm. Any charge of ours that is non-refundable will be shown in the quote. Refunds are limited to what we receive back from the suppliers, less any charges that apply, and are paid to you once we have received them.

Suppliers sometimes change schedules, substitute services or cancel. If that happens we will tell you as soon as we can and help you with the alternatives or refunds the supplier is required to give.

7. Travel Documents, Visas and Health

You are responsible for valid passports (including any validity and blank-page requirements), visas, entry permits, transit requirements, and health and vaccination requirements for every country you travel to or through. We give guidance and help with visa applications and documentation, but visa decisions are made by the authorities, so we cannot guarantee approval or how long it will take, and we are not responsible for a refusal or delay. For Umrah, South African passport holders require an approved Saudi Umrah or tourist e-Visa, and the Kingdom requires health and travel insurance; Rawdah Sharif prayer slots are confirmed through the official Nusuk portal. Information we give about requirements is guidance only and should be checked against official sources.

8. Travel Insurance

We recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, baggage and delays. If you travel without it, you carry those risks yourself.

9. Our Responsibility

We take reasonable care in choosing suppliers and in making your arrangements. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of suppliers, or for delays, cancellations or changes caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as weather, strikes, border or airspace closures, health emergencies or government action. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008, or any other law, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Group and Umrah Travel

For groups, the person who books on behalf of the group is responsible for giving us accurate details and for passing these terms and the quote on to the travellers. Arrangements for groups and for Umrah, including guides, transport and Kingdom extensions, are confirmed in the quote.

11. Website and Chat Assistant

Our chat assistant is automated and can make mistakes, so please confirm anything important with one of our consultants. You may not misuse this website, attempt unauthorised access to it, or copy its content without our permission. The website, its text, design and images belong to us or are used with permission.

12. Privacy

We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy & POPIA Notice.

13. Complaints

If something goes wrong, please tell us first at info@amirtravelntours.co.za or +27 84 377 8901 so that we can put it right. You may also approach the relevant consumer ombud or consumer protection authority.

14. Changes and Governing Law

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always the one on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
